My mum is Chinese and she has now a cleaning job through your site. This has given her much confidence as she felt a little strange going to Employment agencies; feeling her English was not so good. Thank you for giving my mum her self esteem back.

My Helper is very easy to use. We definitely recommend it to anyone. We have a few clients from My Helper that required cleaning services. As much as we have helped our clients to free up their time and making their homes and offices spotless, My Helper has made our business much smoother by saving us time as well with their clean website layout and simple to follow instructions. Most importantly, customer service should be recognised as we are very satisfied with using the service. We greatly appreciate the My Helper site. Thank you!

- Laura – Proqual Cleaning

Thanks myhelper. We were looking for a cleaner recently and thought that if could find a Spanish speaker it would be a bonus. Guess what; we found both and are very happy.

- Thanks again. Tereza (Mum) – Sydney

Meeting Expectations

Posted by on Mar 31, 2011 in Blog | 0 comments

Meeting Expectations Friends of ours recently hired a gardener, and even though their Neighbour was happy with his work, it was assumed that the gardner would also do a good job at their home. Our friends complained that “…the gardner didn’t do a good job, plus he left without tidying sweeping and taking excess cuttings…”. My first question to them was “what tasks did you have on your list?” They replied “we just asked him to mow the lawn and trim the tree & edges”. What our friends...

Have you ever wanted to achieve something such as a new job or promotion, loosing weight, finding the right partner or even starting your own business – but no matter how hard you tried you couldn’t achieve your goal or maintain consistent results? Informational resources abound – television, magazines, books, motivational seminars, and of course...

Wondering why you keep sending out your résumé and don’t hear back? Here are four reasons why that may be happening and what to do about it!  by Rosalind Kimber No clear idea about what sort of job you want. The days of ‘one résumé fits all’ have long gone. What is volunteering and why should I do it?

Posted by on Mar 8, 2011 in Blog | 1 comment

Volunteering is done of your own free will, without monetary reward, for a not-for-profit organisation and is of benefit to the community. It is what makes our communities a harmonious place to live. Just look outside for a moment. See the car with Community Transport written on the outside? A volunteer is driving that car and more than likely is taking an elderly person to an important medical appointment. Do you enjoy our beautiful parks? The native bushland is maintained by volunteers through the local council. See the happy group of...

Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program – one Saturday morning

Posted by on Sep 2, 2010 in Blog | 1 comment

Last Saturday I attended a Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program at the SGSCC, and I must say it was quite an interesting morning. I was invited to talk a little about myhelper and how what we have learnt might help some of the attendees. Most of the attendees came from a professional background such as Engineering, IT, Business, Business owners and so on, yet most are not doing what they used to do for a myriad of reasons. One common factor I observed however was the lack of confidence a lot of the people had when they introduced themselves using...

How do I start volunteering??

Posted by on May 10, 2010 in Blog | 0 comments

Starting as a volunteer is easy. There are just a few important steps involved! Firstly, think about why you would like to volunteer. Is it to meet new people? Learn new skills? Try out a new career? Practice what you are learning at TAFE or Uni? Give back to the community after you have been helped? Get outdoors and be healthy? There are endless reasons for volunteering. But each reason provides an important clue – what to do as a volunteer. For example, if you want to be outdoors and active, you may choose to volunteer with a bush care...
